The Richmond
PCT were successful in securing ownership of the Old Richmond Arms, through Scottish Land Fund support.
This was also supported by Crown Estate Scotland, who purchased the building as part of the MOU. Ownership was transferred in February 2023.
The Vision
A Community Hub which will transform over a 3 phased development starting in 2022
The Vision for the building is create a facility that both serves the local community and is a destination fort the wider region
The Richmond Building
- A base for our Community Development Officer & Facilities & Services Co-ordinator
- Commercial uses on first floor. The two principal rooms can be utilised as meeting rooms or let out as commercial work space on an individual business or co-working model.
The renovations have been achieved using local businesses, KT Joinery , who was the general contractor and CM Design. This phase was completed in June 2023. Funding from a variety of sources has seen this space transformed with new carpets, thanks to Buckie Furniture, Flooring and Mobility and decorating finished by our fantastic volunteers.

We’ve got you covered! A community computer is now available for public use at Portgordon Community Trust. Whether it’s accessing services, printing something important, or simply needing a quiet space to browse, pop in and make use of this new facility.
