We are thrilled to share some fantastic news regarding the progress of our community hub project. After months of hard work, we are delighted to announce that the wind and watertight works for our community hub have been carried out! We are just waiting on our completion certificate and then we will be forging forward to open as soon as possible.

The completion of this crucial milestone brings us one step closer to realising our shared vision of creating a vibrant and inclusive space for our community. The wind and watertight works signify the solid foundation upon which we can build the various facilities and amenities that will benefit our community members for years to come.
We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our dedicated team of funders, contractors, builders, and volunteers who have poured their hearts and souls into this project. Their expertise, perseverance, and commitment have been instrumental in reaching this significant milestone. We also extend our gratitude to each of you, our community members, for your unwavering support and patience throughout this journey.
However, our work does not end here. To fully realise the potential of our community hub, we are now embarking on the next phase of our project: opening a volunteer café. This space will serve as a central gathering point for community members to connect, socialise, and enjoy refreshments. To make this vision a reality, we are reaching out to our incredible community once again, seeking your support and involvement.
We invite individuals who are passionate about community building and have the following skills to join us as volunteers for the opening of our volunteer cafe:
Cafe Team: If you enjoy making coffee, homebakes, light bites and serving customers with a smile, we would love to have you as part of our cafe team.

Culinary Enthusiasts: If you have a knack for cooking and creating delicious and healthy food options, we would greatly appreciate your assistance in crafting the menu for our community cafe.
Event Helpers: Do you enjoy organizing gatherings and workshops? Help us plan and coordinate events at the volunteer cafe to bring our community together.
Creative Contributors: If you have an eye for design and enjoy decorating spaces, we would value your ideas and skills in making the volunteer cafe warm, welcoming, and visually appealing.
Administrative Support: We need volunteers who can help with tasks such as managing inventory, keeping track of finances, and scheduling to ensure the smooth operation of the cafe.
Promotion and Outreach: If you have skills in marketing, social media, or graphic design, we would appreciate your help in spreading the word about the volunteer cafe and attracting a diverse range of community members.
This is just a small selection of the skills we need, and we welcome anyone with a passion for community engagement and a desire to contribute to join our team. No matter your expertise, there will be a role for you to make a difference!

Additionally, we have an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience in cafe management. We are in need of a passionate and dedicated volunteer Cafe Manager to oversee the operations of our volunteer cafe. If you have prior experience in managing cafes, including staff supervision, menu planning, ordering supplies, and maintaining quality standards, we would love to hear from you. As the Cafe Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our volunteer cafe, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all community members. If you are interested in taking on this leadership position, please indicate your interest when contacting Michelle.

Together, let’s transform our community hub into a thriving space that reflects the spirit, diversity, and unity of our community. We truly believe that by working together, we can create an environment where everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered.
Thank you for being an essential part of this remarkable journey. We look forward to your continued support and active participation in making our community hub a resounding success.
