Portgordon Community Trust is inviting all members and residents to take part in an important stage of shaping the future of Port Gordon’s harbour. This is a key moment for the village, and every voice will help guide what happens next.
Why This Matters
Port Gordon’s harbour is at a turning point and the input of everyone in the village is now crucial to shape whether investment in the harbour’s future is possible.
Everyone’s voices are vital as the insight from the community will help shape the harbour’s future direction: what is done with it, how it is managed, how it can be economically and financially viable, and environmentally sustainable for generations to come.
Join the Ideas Lab
As part of this process, an Ideas Lab (hands-on practical sessions) has been designed to explore possibilities, test ideas, and co-create a shared vision for the harbour’s future.
The Ideas Lab will be held on 13th November between 10am and 12pm and 4pm and 8pm in the Richmond Building.
There are no fixed outcomes at this point, and it is about exploring a vision for the harbour and about understanding what the village wants to see happen next and about trying to identify new ideas that can secure the future of the harbour.
Who Is Leading the Workshop
Led by MKA Economics and their team of advisors — including environmental, design, engineering and financial specialists — the Idea Lab will be a chance to share experience and ideas, and help shape real, practical options for the future.
The Trust has listened to previous feedback. This workshop builds on the feedback and priorities identified through earlier events.
