One of the aspirations from the Planning for Real 2017, was to upgrade all the electrics in the Village Hall, which has years of old wiring, inefficient and costly heating and old lighting.
This work is currently under way, with the aim to be completed by the end of May! This has been funded by Moray Local Action Group.
The hall will benefit from modern LED lighting, new fire alarm panel, and a full re-wire to meet new regulations.
This will future proof the building for many years to come….. or until the regulations change again and help us closer to meeting the ambitions of a reduced carbon-footprint and more sustainable way of operating.
Looking forward to posting updates on progress
Update on progress: 31/05/2023
The work is nearing completion. We have a new distribution board with capacity for further enhancements, new wiring throughout, an upgraded fire alarm system and led lights throughout & with modern features with improved power distribution and additional electrical outlets, the hall can accommodate a wider range of events.
