Just wanted to do a wee update on what’s been going on behind the scenes as we prepare to open our community cafe!
As you will appreciate, there has been a lot of work as we focus on:
- Getting the building up to the required Health & Safety standards
- Purchasing equipment for the cafe
- Reaching out for volunteer support
- Working with folks to make sure we have our Policies and Processes in place.
We are also awaiting the completion certificate to be able to open the space to the public. Fingers crossed that this will come soon.
This is no easy task and we would like to thank

- Local lad Eddie for the H&S support
- The ladies and gents who have been part of our working group.

This is a great opportunity to boost your CV skills, gain confidence and help drive this community initiative, so if you have any experience in running a cafe, can bake some lovely cakes or just want to potter in our kitchen, we would love to have you…..
