What a busy week it has been!

We are super chuffed to say that we now have new windows in the Hub! And not just ordinary windows…they are TRIPLE GLAZED!!

It was swift and painless working with locals Ryan and the team from North East Window and Doors. From start to finish, they worked with us to get the best value for money and the best bang for our buck! They worked around the café opening times to make sure that we could still open the space. Also a huge thanks to the team at Stick Em Up Stickers, who designed and fitted the signage for us.. we just love it!

Its great that this funding can be spent using local trades and with the product being locally produced also. A great example of community wealth building in action.

This was a much needed project as the windows previously were nit fit for purpose or up to standards. None of the windows could be cleaned from the inside. Some did not lock, some did not unlock and some were not even fitting in the gaps. I can attest to many chilly days working here in my jacket, hat and gloves.

What we have now is truly fantastic, with already noticeable difference in temperature, sound reduction and they are all able to be operated safely! And to top it off, with the full windows, every room has a view!

Another step forward to a greener, more sustainable space!
